Soudal Metal Plastic Extra Fine is a two-component polyester putty based on unsaturated polyester resins, specifically formulated for high-quality surface repairs and finishing. It is easy to apply, fast curing, and provides lasting adhesion while offering a very fine texture that enables quick sanding and finishing. It is ideal for repairing scratches, cracks, tears, and dents on metal and polyester surfaces, particularly in automotive applications. Its extra-fine structure makes it an excellent finishing layer for smoothing minor surface imperfections and filling small pinholes or rough areas left by conventional polyester putties.

Suitable for:
– Filling scratches, tears, and dents in metal plates.
– Repairing damaged metal and polyester surfaces.
– Repairing scratches, cracks, and dents on automotive body panels and vehicle surfaces.
– Use as a fine finishing layer to achieve a smooth surface.
– Smoothing minor surface imperfections and filling pinholes or small voids in polyester putties.
Substrates
– Ensure the surface is rigid, clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, rust, and other contaminants.
– Remove any rust before application.
– Roughen smooth surfaces by grinding to improve adhesion.
– Suitable for metal, polyester, and other compatible rigid surfaces.
– Not suitable for zinc-coated or galvanized metal surfaces.
– For zinc-coated or galvanized metal, use Metal Plastic Universal.
– Perform a preliminary adhesion and compatibility test on all substrates before application.
Application Method
– Mix 2% of the B-component (hardener) with the A-component.
– Mix thoroughly until a homogeneous consistency is achieved.
– Prepare only the quantity that can be applied within 5 minutes.
– Apply the mixed putty in a thin layer using a spatula.
– Apply additional thin layers if required.
– Allow 20–30 minutes for curing (depending on temperature) before sanding.
– Once cured, proceed with sanding, priming, painting, or other finishing operations.
Cleaning
– Clean tools and equipment immediately after use with acetone.
Repair
– Repair damaged areas using the same material.
