Substrates
Substrates: The most common substrates in bathrooms and kitchens: bath, shower tray, wash-basin, sink, floor and tiles. Not suitable for PE, PP, PTFE and bitumen

Surface preparation: Carefully degrease the surface with Soudal Surface Cleaner or acetone (the latter is not suitable for plastics). A preliminary adhesion test on every surface is recommended.

Sealing Strips are ideal for use in all traditional sanitary sealing applications instead of sanitary sealants (i.e. baths to wall tiles). Can be used to seal around showers, kitchen worktops, toilets, etc. Resistant to prolonged contact with water. Including:
– Waterproof sealing of joints along bath, shower tray, wash-basin, countertop, sink, floor and tiles.
– As an alternative to traditional sealants.
– Only for interior use
APPLICATION
Application method: Cut the Sanitary Sealing Strip to size and take 1 cm extra as a margin. If the strip is a bit stiff, it can be softened by gently warming it up on the radiator or using a hair dryer. Fold the strip in half over its entire length and remove a small section of the release liner. Apply the strip to the corner of the longest joint and press firmly.
Remove the remaining release liner and continue to press firmly and evenly without stretching the strip. Cut off the excess strip at the end of the joint. Adhere the strips in the corners over one another, then cut the overlapping parts in a 45° angle, remove the loose pieces and press the corner firmly again. To obtain a better adhesion you can heat the strip with a hairdryer for 10 sec. immediately after application.
Check if the Sanitary Sealing Strip adheres well everywhere (especially in tile joints) and wait 24 hours before using the sanitary ware.
Cleaning: Adhesive residues can be removed with Soudal Adhesive Remover-CT or Soudal Surface Cleaner.
Repair: With the same material.
LIMITATIONS
– Not suitable for expansion and dilatation joints.
– The applied pressure and not the duration of the compression will determine the ultimate strength of the bond.
