Bond It Seal It Bleed Blocker is a one-part primer is designed to prepare bitumen surfaces, asphalt, and roofing felt before the application of Seal It Liquid Membrane or Easiseal Pro Weatherproofing Compound. It enhances adhesion and overall system performance while providing a quick and easy application process.

Suitable for bitumen based substrates, asphalt and felt substrates
Preparation
– Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dirt, dust, oil, grease, loose coatings, and other contaminants.
– Remove organic growth and treat with Bond It Mould Stop before priming.
– Do not apply to damp or wet surfaces.
Application
– Apply only when temperatures are above +5°C.
– Stir thoroughly before use to fully disperse pigments and polymers.
– Apply one coat using a brush or roller at the recommended coverage rate.
– Allow to cure fully before overcoating (typically overnight; up to 48 hours in cold conditions).
– The cured coating forms a light blue film for easy coverage identification.
– Apply additional coats only after the previous coat has fully cured.
– Ensure all bituminous surfaces are completely covered before applying Seal It Liquid Membrane.
– Apply a minimum of 2 coats over bitumen substrates; seams and edges may require a third coat.
– For exposed joints and edges, Seal It Cracks and Edging Sealer can be used as an alternative.
– Test a small, discreet area (approx. 1m²) with Seal It Liquid Membrane before full application to check for any adverse reaction with the substrate.
– Any colour of Seal It Liquid Membrane or Easiseal Pro can be used once priming is complete; however, discolouration may occur if primer coverage is incomplete or over water-based bitumen coatings.
– Once cured, apply Seal It Liquid Membrane or Easiseal Pro in accordance with the product instructions.
– For enhanced durability over bitumen substrates, use Seal It Reinforcing Mat within the membrane coating.
Cleaning
– Clean brushes and rollers with soap and water before the material hardens.
