BAL Admix AD1 is a water-based polymer additive designed for cementitious wall and floor adhesives, enhancing adhesion, flexibility, and overall performance. It improves the physical properties of the adhesive, making it more durable and adaptable for challenging substrates. BAL Admix AD1 is compatible with products such as BAL CTF4, BAL Rapid Flex One, BAL Flex One, BAL Pourable One, BAL XL Floor One, and BAL Supercover Rapidset. It is not suitable for use with highly polymer-modified cementitious adhesives or ready-mixed products.

– Painted surfaces and metal.
SURFACE PREPARATION
General
Follow the recommendations for use with specific BAL cementitious adhesives (see BAL TECHNICAL DATA SHEET for surface preparation prior to tiling). Be aware that at higher temperatures, the open time of the modified adhesive may be slightly shorter than the unmodified version, while the setting time may be slightly longer.
APPLICATION/USAGE
Do NOT use in temperatures below 5°C or in damp conditions.
Usage procedure
1. Shake the BAL ADMIX AD1 container thoroughly before use.
2. Dilute the admixture with clean cold water at a ratio of 1:1 or 1:3 and mix well.
3. Gradually add the BAL cementitious adhesive to the diluted liquid and mix thoroughly until a slump-free mortar is achieved.
NOTE: Mortar consistency can be adjusted by slightly increasing or decreasing the adhesive amount (refer to BAL TECHNICAL DATA SHEET for guidance).
4. Clean any surplus adhesive from tools and tiles before it sets.
NOTE: The setting time of adhesive modified with BAL ADMIX AD1 may be extended.
