Data Sheets
This damp proof membrane is designed for domestic construction and is embossed to enhance mortar adhesion. Made from high-quality reprocessed materials, it remains flexible even in low temperatures and is safe and clean to handle. It is suitable for both horizontal and vertical applications and complies with CE standards. Installation should follow CP102:1973 and BS 5628 guidelines, ensuring a 150mm application above ground level on external walls, with a minimum 100mm overlap when joining pieces. For internal walls, it should be placed at the base of load-bearing walls and linked with adjoining DPMs, covering the full width of the partition.
Key Points:
- Material & Design: 450gsm thickness, embossed for better mortar adhesion.

The DPC is designed for both vertical and horizontal applications, preventing upward and lateral water movement within structural walls. Suitable for year-round use, it is a durable, versatile, and cost-effective solution, manufactured under strict quality controls to comply with all relevant British Standards.
Installation
Installation should follow the code of practice CP102:1973 and the DPC good practice guidelines outlined in BS 5628.
- External Walls: Apply the DPC 150mm above the adjoining surface, ensuring it is linked with the DPM in solid floors. It should be placed on a fresh mortar bed, free from projections that could puncture or prevent it from lying flat. When joining two pieces, overlap by at least 100mm.
- Internal Walls: Install the DPC at the base of load-bearing walls, linking it with any adjoining DPM. It should cover the full width of the partition and have a minimum 100mm overlap when joining sections.
Limitations
Not suitable for applications with high shear stress (e.g., restraining walls) or high flexible stress (e.g., freestanding walls and parapets). It should not be used to restrict downward-moving water, such as above lintels or within cavity walls.
