The Cromar Croma Verge Starter Pack is a high-quality dry verge roofing system designed to provide a neat, secure, and weather-resistant finish to the edge of tiled roofs. Manufactured by Cromar Building Products, this starter pack includes the essential components required to begin installing the Croma Verge system, helping to protect roof verges from wind uplift, rain penetration, and bird ingress. Suitable for both new builds and roof refurbishments, it is compatible with most standard concrete interlocking tiles and offers a mortar-free installation that speeds up fitting while ensuring long-lasting durability. The system also enhances the appearance of the roofline by creating a clean, uniform edge while reducing ongoing maintenance compared to traditional mortar verges.
The Cromar Croma Verge Starter Pack is designed to provide a simple and efficient way to secure and finish the verge edge of a roof using a dry verge system. It is typically used when installing or refurbishing roof tiles, helping to mechanically fix the first verge unit in place and create a strong starting point for the rest of the verge system. The starter pack helps protect the roof edge from wind uplift, rain ingress, and pest entry while also giving a neat, maintenance-free finish along the gable edge. Suitable for use with compatible Croma dry verge units and most standard roof tiles, it supports faster installation compared to traditional mortar verges and contributes to a more durable, weather-resistant roofing solution.
The Cromar CromaVerge Starter Pack is designed for use as part of a universal dry verge roofing system to secure and protect the exposed edges of interlocking roof tiles on pitched roofs. It is typically used at the eaves to start the verge installation and provides a neat, sealed finish that prevents water ingress, wind uplift, and the entry of insects or birds while eliminating the need for traditional mortar bedding. The system is suitable for both new build and refurbishment roofing projects, offering a quick-fit, maintenance-free solution made from durable UV-stable polypropylene that helps keep tiles firmly in place even in strong winds. However, the product has several limitations: it is primarily intended for interlocking or metric roof tiles and is not suitable for thin leading-edge/plain tiles or slate roofs. Additionally, installation must follow manufacturer guidelines and relevant roofing standards (such as BS5534), and the manufacturer’s responsibility is limited to the quality of the supplied product where site conditions or installation practices are beyond their control.
