BT1 is an excellent sanitaryware product designed for use in public health institutions, including hospitals and clinics. Independently tested under MOD IOS 22196:2011, it reduces bacteria by up to 99.99% and is effective against a wide range of microbes, including MRSA, E. coli, and Campylobacter. EC1 Plus certified for very low emissions and ETAG approved for bonding shower panels without mechanical fixings, BT1 forms a durable, high-elasticity compound. It bonds successfully to a variety of substrates, including wood, metals, brickwork, concrete, fibreglass, glass, ceramics, and uPVC.

Applications
BT1 is designed for a wide range of uses, including bathrooms, wet rooms, hospitals, clinics, and all public health institutions. It replaces traditional products such as wood and polyurethane adhesives, silicone and sanitary sealants, acrylic sealants, and butyl rubber sealants. As a universal adhesive, BT1 bonds effectively to most substrates, including wood, metal, brickwork, fibreglass, glass, ceramics, uPVC, concrete, and most plastics (except PP, PE, and PTFE), even in wet conditions, without attacking synthetic materials. For mirror applications, apply in vertical strips (not suitable for PP-backed mirrors). BT1 can be painted once fully cured and is compatible with most water-based paints (not suitable for alkyd paints); testing before application is recommended. For powder-coated substrates, consult the coating manufacturer for specific advice.
Directions for Use
Before application, ensure the cartridge is stored at room temperature. Cut the cartridge at the nose and trim the nozzle to the desired size. Use a skeleton or powered gun to apply the product onto clean, degreased surfaces, and finish joints neatly using MULTISOLVE.
