EVERBUILD 703 Fix & Grout Tile Adhesive is a premium-grade, ready-mixed adhesive and grout designed for fixing ceramic and porcelain wall tiles, as well as mosaics, in areas with high humidity. Its advanced formula includes a powerful fungicide to prevent mould growth and dries to a brilliant white finish, making it suitable for most common applications.

Everbuild 703 Fix & Grout Tile Adhesive is suitable for kitchen and bathroom walls, shower areas, communal and power showers, as well as worktops exposed to water contact.
Substrate Quality and Pre-Treatment
- Plaster: Allow new plaster to dry for a minimum of 4 weeks before tiling. Tile only onto the finishing coat and prime with EVERBUILD® 503 SBR Bond diluted 1:3 with water.
- Plasterboard/Plywood/Chipboard: Ensure bracing with seasoned timber at 300 mm intervals both vertically and horizontally. Use moisture-resistant grades and seal all surfaces and edges with EVERBUILD® 503 SBR Bond diluted 1:3 with water.
- Sand/Cement Render: Let dry for at least 4 weeks before tiling. Use a mix of 3-4 parts sand to 1 part cement and prime with EVERBUILD® 503 SBR Bond.
- Brickwork/Blockwork/Concrete Block: Allow a drying period of 4 weeks before rendering or plastering. Do not tile directly onto blockwork.
- Existing Glazed Tiles/Formica: Roughen surfaces with an abrasive sander, prime with EVERBUILD® 503 SBR Bond diluted 1:1 with water, and apply adhesive while tacky. Wait at least 5 days before grouting.
- Painted Surfaces: Avoid direct application to emulsion or limewash paints. Remove loose material and prime with EVERBUILD® 503 SBR Bond diluted 1:3 with water. Degrease and score gloss paint to create a key for adhesion.
Application as an Adhesive
Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and sound. Porous surfaces, including plaster, must be primed with EVERBUILD® 503 SBR Bond diluted 1:3 with water and left to dry. Apply adhesive to a depth of 3-6 mm, covering no more than 1 m² at a time. For dry conditions, use a notched trowel, placing tiles with a slight twist to eliminate air voids. In wet areas, avoid a notched trowel and bed tiles directly into the adhesive. Ensure at least 75% coverage on the tile by checking periodically. Remove excess adhesive while wet using a damp cloth or sponge, especially along grout lines.
Application as a Grout
Apply using a squeegee or sponge, ensuring joints are filled without voids. Suitable for joint widths up to 6 mm. Allow adhesive to dry for 24-72 hours before grouting, depending on porosity. Let grout cure for 7 days before using showers or baths.
Limitations
- Not suitable for floors. For such applications, use EVERBUILD® 705 TILESET RAPID.
- Unsuitable for swimming pools or external use. For these, use EVERBUILD® 705 TILESET RAPID.
- When used as grout, allow a 7-day drying period before exposure to water in showers or baths.
