Feb Febmix Admix SW is a liquid air-entraining plasticiser specifically designed to address the varying qualities of sand, cement, and water in South Wales and the West Country. It enhances mortar by providing a stable and uniform air bubble structure, improving resistance to freeze/thaw damage, reducing segregation and bleed, and increasing workability. It works with most types of Portland Cement and challenging sands, can replace lime, and is compatible with P.F.A.-containing mortars, offering easier and faster mortar application.

Feb Febmix Admix SW creates very stable air bubbles in mortar mixes, enhancing workability and giving the mortar a smooth, “buttery” consistency. It helps prevent shrinkage, cracking, crazing, and mild frost damage during curing, while offering long-term resistance to freeze/thaw cycles. Additionally, by replacing lime in the mix, it reduces the likelihood of efflorescence (salt formation).
APPLICATION
Add Feb Febmix Admix SW to the mix or gauging water at a rate of 125 ml to 250 ml per 50 kg of cement, depending on the level of plasticising or air entrainment required. Reduce the amount of water accordingly. For mortar or render mixes, adding 1 litre of Feb® Febmix Admix® SW to 200 L of gauging water is sufficient for approximately 4 x 50 kg of cement.
LIMITATIONS
- Not suitable for use in structural concrete.
- Avoid overdosing and mixing with other additives in the same gauging water.
- Not for use in lime-based mixes.
- Dispose of the product and packaging properly and do not allow it to enter watercourses.
