SP030 is a crystal-clear, fast-curing adhesive-sealant based on illbruck’s advanced SP polymer formulation, making it an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional PU adhesives. It is ideal for the transparent bonding of glass panes, providing a totally colourless, aesthetic finish with very low odour as it contains no solvents or isocyanates. SP030 offers excellent adhesion to a wide range of materials, including metals, glass, PVC, and concrete, and its rapid skinning allows it to become tack-free in approximately 10 minutes, enabling efficient installation.

Suitable for:
– Cures rapidly to form a flexible, crystal-clear seal
– Ideal for transparent sealing and bonding of glass elements in interior applications
– Typical uses: bonding glass panes to aluminium or anodised frames (e.g., display cases, retail units, glass lifts)
– Compatible with metals and most common construction materials
Preparation
– Always perform a compatibility test before use.
– Surfaces must be clean, dry, dust-free, and degreased.
– Roughen non-porous surfaces to improve adhesion.
– For materials such as glass, aluminium, ceramics, lacquered wood, PVC, epoxy, and polyester, primer may sometimes be required. For other materials, consult CPG UK Technical Services.
Application
– Cut the end of the cartridge thread carefully and trim the nozzle to the required diameter.
– Ensure good contact between the joint surfaces before applying adhesive.
– Apply a bead of adhesive to one or both surfaces. For larger areas, spread immediately with a notched spreader.
– Bring components together and hold for at least 5 minutes; sufficient bond strength usually develops within 5–10 minutes.
Cleaning
– Remove excess adhesive immediately using AT115 Cleaner, ensuring surfaces are solvent-resistant.
– Cured adhesive can only be removed mechanically.
