Formulated with selected aggregates and synthetic resins, it produces a smooth, easy-to-apply mix that can be applied by trowel or rendering spray machine. Once cured, it provides a durable, even surface that is suitable for ceramic tile installation or decorative paint finishes.
Key Points:
– Versatile application – Suitable for internal and external walls and ceilings.
– 2–20 mm application thickness – Ideal for rendering and smoothing uneven surfaces.
– Easy to apply – Trowel or spray machine application with excellent workability.
– Ready for finishing – Provides a smooth surface suitable for tiling or painting.
Storage – Keep in it’s original unopened packaging and in a dry place. Nivoplan can be stored for 12 months.

Suitable for:
– Smoothing walls prior to installing ceramic tiles.
– Repairing old, damaged renders.
– Levelling reinforced concrete surfaces of swimming pools and façades prior to installing ceramic coverings, waterproong by painting.
– Smoothing foamed cement, brick, eraclit, etc. walls
Preparation of the Substrate
– Ensure the substrate is sound, clean, and free from dust, loose material, oil, grease, paint, and adhesive residues.
– Can be applied to damp surfaces, although curing time may be extended.
– Pre-wet highly absorbent substrates (e.g. brick or aerated concrete), particularly for applications under 3 mm thick.
– Do not apply to gypsum-based substrates unless primed with Primer G.
Preparing the Mix
– Mix one 25 kg bag with 5.0–5.5 litres of clean water until smooth and lump-free.
– Alternatively, mix one 25 kg bag with 3.0 litres of water and 2.0 litres of Planicrete for enhanced performance.
– Use a mechanical mixer for best results.
– Mixed material remains workable for approximately 2 hours.
Applying the Mix
– Apply a thin first coat to ensure full substrate coverage.
– Immediately apply additional material to achieve the required level.
– Apply by rendering machine, flat trowel, or screed.
– Apply under firm pressure to ensure good adhesion.
– Maximum application thickness: 20 mm per coat.
Spatterdash Key
– Mix ratio: 25 parts Nivoplan : 2 parts Planicrete : 3 parts Water.
– Mix to a thick, well-stirred slurry.
– Throw onto a dampened substrate and leave with a rough finish.
– Recommended thickness: 3–5 mm.
Curing and Finishing
– Allow 20 mm applications to cure for approximately 14 days before applying Mapelastic.
– As a guide, allow approximately 1 week per 10 mm thickness before applying waterproofing membranes.
– A 10 mm layer is generally ready for tiling after 12 hours under normal conditions (+23°C, 50% RH).
– Higher humidity or lower temperatures may increase curing times.
– Surfaces can typically be painted after 2 weeks.
– Protect freshly applied material from direct sun and wind by lightly dampening if required.
Planicrete
– Improves the mechanical strength and adhesion of cement-based screeds, renders, and smoothing compounds.
– Suitable for highly adhesive bonding slurries.
– Increases compressive and flexural strength.
– Improves abrasion resistance.
– Do not apply at temperatures below +5°C.
CLEANING
– Clean tools and hands with water before the material has set
