Application Steps

  1. Surface Preparation:
Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, oil, and old sealant or debris. For best results, degrease non-porous surfaces.

  2. Masking (Optional):
Apply masking tape along edges to achieve clean lines and prevent spreading onto adjacent surfaces.

  3. Cut Nozzle and Load Cartridge:
Cut the nozzle to the desired bead size and load the cartridge into a standard sealant gun.

  4. Apply Sealant:
Extrude a consistent bead into the joint or gap. Ensure full contact with the surfaces to be sealed.

  5. Tooling and Smoothing:
Immediately tool the sealant with a spatula or jointing tool, using a smoothing agent if required, to ensure proper adhesion and finish.

  6. Curing:
Allow to cure. Skin formation typically begins within 10–20 minutes; full cure depends on joint depth and ambient conditions.

Limitations

  • Not Suitable for Continuous Water Immersion: Avoid using in areas that remain permanently submerged.

  • Paint Compatibility: Test on a small area first, as certain paints may not adhere well or may crack over time.

  • Non-Structural Applications Only: Not designed for load-bearing or structural bonding.

  • Do Not Apply in Wet Conditions: Surfaces must be dry during application for optimal adhesion and curing.

  • Temperature Limitations: Application temperature range is typically between +5°C and +40°C; not recommended for use below freezing.
