Sika MaxMix® Concentrated Accelerator & Frostproofer is a chloride-free, air-entraining admixture designed to accelerate the setting and hardening of mortars and renders. Formulated for cold-weather construction, it provides frost protection at temperatures down to -4°C while eliminating the need for a separate frostproofing additive. The product improves workability, reduces water absorption and penetration, and is safe for use with embedded metal components such as brick ties and reinforcement. Its concentrated formula delivers economical performance, with 1 litre treating up to 100 kg of cement, and features an easy-to-use dosage system that helps minimise waste and spillages.

LIMITATIONS
– Do not exceed the recommended dosage rates.
– Do not allow the product to enter watercourses or drainage systems.
– Not suitable for use in structural concrete, as it contains a powerful air-entraining agent.
– Always store and transport the container in a secure, upright position.
– Dispose of the product and packaging in accordance with local regulations.
– Read the product label before use and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
– The user is responsible for determining the suitability of the product for the intended application. Contact Technical Services for further guidance if required.
APPLICATION
– Ensure all materials are free from ice before use.
– The temperature of the mix prior to placement must not be below +4°C.
– Shake the bottle thoroughly before use.
– Measure the correct dosage of Sika MaxMix® Concentrated Accelerator & Frostproofer:
– For frost protection down to -4°C: Add 250 mL per 25 kg of cement.
– For frost protection below -4°C: Add 500 mL per 25 kg of cement.
– Dilute the product in a portion of the gauging water and stir thoroughly before adding it to the mix.
– Add the treated water to the sand and cement, followed by the remaining water/MaxMix® mixture until the required consistency is achieved.
– Never add the product directly to the dry mix.
– As the admixture contains a plasticiser, the total amount of water required may be reduced.
