Sika® Water Seal is a solvent-based waterproofing treatment for masonry that protects against rain, damp, frost, and pollution-related staining. Its deeply penetrating formula forms a water-repellent barrier within the pores of the substrate without significantly altering appearance or reducing breathability. The treatment also helps reduce efflorescence, maintain insulation performance, and can provide protection for up to 10 years, depending on the substrate and application conditions.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
SUBSTRATE QUALITY / PRE-TREATMENT
– Ensure the surface is dry and free from loose material, dust, and debris.
– Re-point any defective joints in brickwork or stonework before treatment.
– Hairline cracks do not normally require treatment, but larger cracks should be repaired and allowed to dry fully.
– Remove as much efflorescence as possible by brushing the surface, particularly around re-pointed areas.
APPLICATION
1. Stir thoroughly before use.
2. Apply a single coat by brush or low-pressure spray in well-ventilated conditions.
3. Flood the product onto the surface to achieve a run-down of approximately 300 mm, ensuring thorough coverage.
CLEANING OF TOOLS
– Clean all tools, equipment, and brushes immediately after use with white spirit.
