Sikasil-670 Fire 380ml – Fire-Rated Acoustic Silicone Sealant
Sikasil®-670 Fire 380ml is a high-performance, neutral-curing fire-rated silicone sealant designed for sealing joints in fire-rated constructions. Conforming to EN 1366-4:2006, this intumescent fire sealant provides up to 4 hours of fire resistance in specific joint configurations. Ideal for sealing movement and connection joints within the building envelope, Sikasil-670 Fire also delivers excellent acoustic insulation.

Application Method:
Sikasil®-670 Fire is ready-to-use in a 380ml cartridge.
Installation Steps:
- Prepare the joint and clean all surfaces.
- Insert a suitable backing rod to control joint depth.
- Apply primer if required (depending on substrate).
- Load cartridge into a sealant gun and apply continuously into the joint.
- Ensure full contact with joint surfaces, avoiding air entrapment.
- Tool the sealant firmly for optimal adhesion and finish.
- Use masking tape for clean lines; remove before the sealant skins.

APPLICATION
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION
All surfaces must be dry and free of dust, therefore, improving adhesion. In addition to that, on non-porous surfaces, use Primer NP2.
LIMITATIONS
– Do not use on substrates that may bleed oils or plasticisers or in contact with bitumen or asphalt.
– Do not attempt to sand down. Finish smooth as per directions.
– Not over paintable.
– In some cases, the product can yellow while curing if exposed to brick acid or bleach. However, this does not affect performance.
