It penetrates the surface to provide long-lasting protection against water ingress, oil stains, dirt, and general weathering, helping to reduce fading and surface wear caused by sun and rain. Ideal for use on driveways, patios, and pathways, the sealant also helps stabilise jointing sand, discourages weed and algae growth, and leaves a durable finish that improves the overall appearance while extending the life of the paving. Thompson’s P&B Paving Seal 5L is applied to clean, dry paving such as concrete, block paving, brick and stone to enhance appearance while providing a protective, water-repellent finish; it is typically applied by brush, roller, or low-pressure sprayer, working evenly across the surface and allowing adequate drying time between coats. The product should only be used in suitable weather conditions—generally dry, mild temperatures with no rain forecast—and is not intended for damp surfaces, freshly laid paving that has not fully cured, or areas subject to constant standing water. Limitations include reduced performance on highly polished, contaminated, or previously sealed surfaces without proper preparation, and it may slightly alter surface sheen or colour. It is not designed to repair structural defects, stop rising damp, or withstand heavy vehicular traffic unless specified by the manufacturer.
