How did that happen?? Summer’s over, the thermals are out for those cold early mornings, and the clocks are going back in a matter of days. Let’s run through the last 3 months and let you know what to expect in the run up to dare we say it, Christmas!
In July we tried out very first door to door campaign. Aptly titled ‘Set for Summer’, we threw a bunch of new products together along with some competitive prices, to make a rather attractive leaflet. From colour enhancers for your driveway to organic cleaners, there was a bit of everything to get your exteriors gleaming. We also introduced a new Complete Interior Kit. You can still shop these offers now. With these warmer afternoons, Set for Summer could still have some time to shine.
Mapei introduced 12 new colours to their Mapesil AC and Ultracolour Grout in 5kg ranges! If you’re in the process of decorating and not sure what direction to take, these new shades are sure to give you some inspiration of colour trends and themes for 2023. These shiny new additions obviously mean that we are in the process of updating our giant in-house colour chart. If you’re local, come and stick your head in for a real-life colour match. It will be completed and back up on the wall before you know it.
Rainbow and its range of in-stock RAL colours are now available as single cartridges as well as in boxes of 24. If it’s a large quantity you are after, just make sure to get in touch so we can double check stock levels for you 😊.
We had some new faces in our top 5 best sellers for July. Illbruck FS125 LM made an appearance for the first time this year, whereas Mapesil AC and CT1 were back in there gloating! AlphaChem 800 LMN+ took up 2 of the top spots. It was featured in our Trade Offer newsletter and flew out. Great price, great product. What more can we say. Before we knew it, August was here and were facing our last summer bank holiday. We gave you a discount code to celebrate and you took advantage of that, so you are all welcome 😊.
We gained our place as part of Construction Line which was great news for all of us over here! And obviously, on part with this was the Premier League kicking off again… pun intended. We set up an SSL Fantasy Premier League and it’s got everyone tackling their way to the top with prizes each month.
More new products, this time from Bond It. More adhesives than you can wave a stick at (another pun. Hilarious, aren’t we?!) Anchor Bond, Mirror Pro, Incredibond, and Aerosol Spray Adhesive were our August apprentices. We’re impressed with their dedication! Not just adhesives, we added to our collection of Complete Kits. The Flooring Kit includes everything you need to get those horizontal joints sealed, including 6 x Soudal 40FC 600ml foils, a selection of PC Cox nozzles, a 600 CC Soudal Barrel Gun plus more.
It seems you lot were still working away inside to keep out of that blistering heat we had in august as our top 5 was bursting with interior sealants. Mapesil AC was obviously up there, along with Everbuild Anti Pick, and ARBO HM. ARBO LM came creeping in the back along with AlphaChem 800 LMN+
With Mapei’s new colour introductions, some sadly made a swift exist in September. Kerapoxy and Kerapoxy CQ saw a reshuffle. You can find their updated colours on their product pages so be sure to double check before you start a new project. We may have some of the discontinued shades still in so please contact us if you are looking for a little extra to finish off any jobs. No promises though!
Our Warm for Winter campaign launched as we collected and compiled a range of products to help you keep the heat in and costs down as much as possible. This past quarter we have managed to save you lovely lot a total of £1450.16 in discounts alone, without even touching on the discounts from our Trade Offer products.
