ARDITEX CL PLUS+ is a two-part, fibre-reinforced levelling and smoothing compound designed to provide excellent flow, application and finishing properties across a wide range of internal subfloors. Moisture tolerant and suitable for use beneath a DPM, it can be applied directly to most substrates without priming, including damp concrete, old adhesive residues, bitumen, ARDEX Damp Proof Membranes and ceramic tiles. It offers enhanced strength and flexibility and can be used over heated screeds. It is walkable after just 2 hours and allows floorcoverings to be installed in as little as 8 hours. Suitable substrates: For levelling and smoothing common internal subfloors, including concrete, cement/sand and gypsum (anhydrite) screeds, flooring-grade plywood, ceramic tiles, bitumen and flooring-grade asphalt.

Application thickness: Can be applied from a feathered edge up to 10mm in a single application.

Greater depths: Can be applied up to 30mm when incorporating ARDEX Coarse Aggregate.

Not suitable for: Do not use over rubber, linoleum, cork or moisture-sensitive floorcoverings.
MIXING
Mix one 20kg bag of ARDITEX CL PLUS+ powder with 4.8kg of ARDITEX CL PLUS+ latex. Shake the latex and pour into a clean container, then gradually add the powder while continuously stirring. For smaller quantities, use 3 parts powder to 1 part latex.
APPLICATION
Pour the mixed material onto the prepared floor and spread to the required thickness using a trowel or Pin Leveller. Apply at floor temperatures above 5°C. A spiked roller can be used while wet to improve the surface and performance.
PUMPING
ARDITEX CL PLUS+ can be pumped using suitable pumping equipment. Contact the ARDEX Technical Support Team for further information.
APPLICATIONS OVER UNDERFLOOR HEATING
Ensure the subfloor and underfloor heating system are installed and commissioned in accordance with BS 8204 Part 1 and the manufacturer’s instructions. Once commissioned and thermally cycled, reduce the heating to 15°C before applying ARDITEX CL PLUS+ and the final floor covering. After 48 hours, gradually recommission the heating in accordance with BS 8204 Part 1 and BS 8203.
THICKNESS
The standard mix can be applied from a feather edge up to 10mm. For applications above 10mm, up to an equal volume of ARDEX Coarse Aggregate can be incorporated.
CLEANING OF EQUIPMENT
Clean all tools and mixing containers with water immediately after use, before the material sets.
DRYING AND HARDENING
The working time is approximately 20 minutes at normal temperatures. The surface can be walked on after approximately 2 hours, with thin applications ready for most floor coverings after as little as 8 hours at 20°C. Lower temperatures and high humidity will extend drying times, while higher temperatures may shorten them.
