EVERBUILD 202 Integral Liquid Waterproofer is ideal for waterproofing applications both below ground, such as basements, and above ground, including mortar, render, and screeds. It is also suitable for waterproofing the linings of water tanks, silage pits, and ponds.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
MIXING
Add EVERBUILD 202 Integral Liquid Waterproofer to gauging water at a rate of 0.5 to 1L per 100kg of cement, or mix one part of the product with 20 to 40 parts water. Stir until fully dispersed and then add to the mix. Adjust the total amount of water required, reducing it by up to 20%, to achieve the desired consistency. To minimize the risk of cracking, gauge the mix as stiff as possible.
BELOW GROUND WORK
For renders, use a mix of 3 parts sharp sand (BS 1199) to 1 part cement by volume. Avoid applying to weak backgrounds.
EXTERNAL WATERPROOF RENDERS
For external renders, use 4.5 parts sharp sand (BS 1199) to 1 part cement by volume. Apply in two coats, each 18-20mm thick.
ROUGH CAST WORK
The backing coat should consist of 3 parts sharp sand (BS 1199) to 1 part cement by volume.
SWIMMING POOLS, TANKS, ETC.
Use a mix of 3 parts sharp sand (BS 1199) to 1 part cement by volume. Apply a 18-20mm thick render on walls and a 35-38mm thick render on the floor. Ensure that joints are staggered and corners are coved. Overcoating with an impervious coating or tiling is recommended.
LIMITATIONS
- Not suitable for use in structural concrete or as a replacement for DPC.
- Will not withstand permanent hydrostatic pressure.
- For tanking, use in conjunction with EVERBUILD® DPM.
- Does not repel water; for water-repellent finishes, use EVERBUILD® WATERSEAL.
