Sika® Evercryl® One Coat is a fibre-reinforced, resin-based roof repair compound designed for use on all common roofing surfaces. It provides instant waterproofing even in wet weather or temperatures as low as –5 °C. It can be applied directly to wet surfaces, making it ideal for emergency leak repairs without waiting for conditions to improve. The product is brush-applied, forming a smooth, seamless, flexible membrane that bridges small cracks and delivers full water protection in just one coat, even in areas prone to ponding. No primer is required on sound, non-porous substrates, making application fast and straightforward.
Key Points:
– Instantly waterproof, even when applied in rain or at –5 °C.
– Fibre-reinforced formula bridges small cracks and provides full protection in one coat.
– Suitable for all common roofing surfaces, including areas with ponding water.
– No primer required on sound, non-porous substrates.

Used for general sealing, maintenance, repair, and waterproofing of most common roof types in both wet and dry conditions. Suitable for surfaces including concrete, fibre/cement, roofing felt, mastic asphalt, existing bituminous coatings, rigid uPVC, corrugated iron, metals, slates, brickwork, tiles, lead, copper, and zinc. Ideal for waterproofing gutters (plastic and metal), downpipes, gullies, flashings, upstands, vents, and leadwork.
LIMITATIONS
Do not use in areas where the surface may be exposed to solvents or oils. Avoid inhaling vapours during application. The product should not be applied on Styrofoam or PVC foil. When using a primer on new bitumen, patch test first as bleeding may occur. As the manufacturer cannot anticipate all possible uses, it is the user’s responsibility to ensure suitability for their application. For guidance, contact the Technical Services department if in doubt.
ECOLOGY, HEALTH AND SAFETY
Users must consult the most recent Safety Data Sheets (SDS) before using any products. The SDS provides guidance on safe handling, storage, and disposal of chemical products, including physical, ecological, toxicological, and other safety-related information.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION
Roof coatings cannot repair structures that are not structurally sound or stable. Inspect and, if necessary, repair the roof structure before coating. Replace or refix any cracked, broken, slipped, or missing slates, tiles, sheets, or coverings, and fill cracks in felt or asphalt. Do not coat roof lights, windows, glass, or translucent sheets as these pose hidden hazards.
Surface preparation is critical to adhesion and longevity. All roof surfaces should be stable, sound, and free from debris, dirt, dust, grease, algae, and fungi. Remove algae and fungal growth with a stiff brush, and treat affected areas with Sika® Mouldbuster to eliminate remaining spores. Fix any holes or loose felt/slates/tiles using Black Jack® 903 Bitumen Trowel Mastic and adhere loose felt with Black Jack® 904 Roof Felt Adhesive. Blisters in roofing felt must be cut, dried, re-bonded, and sealed. Degrease new metal surfaces and remove rust or treat rusty surfaces with a rust-inhibitive primer, such as zinc phosphate based. On porous or friable surfaces, dilute one part Sika® Evercryl® One Coat with three parts white spirit as a primer.
APPLICATION
Follow all safety precautions as indicated on the label and in the SDS (available at sika.co.uk or on request). Stir the product well before use and apply by brush in one coat at a coverage rate of 1–2 litres per square metre. In extreme cases, a second coat may be applied 2–3 days after the initial application.
