Nitoseal MS300 is a one-part, high-modulus sealant based on hybrid silyl-modified polyether technology. It cures rapidly to form a tough elastomer capable of supporting heavy wheel loads, making it suitable for internal trafficked flush joints (6–20 mm wide) and non-trafficked or recessed joints up to 40 mm wide. A sealing slot with a square cross-section and a minimum depth of 10 mm is recommended, and joint widths should follow BS6093 to ensure optimal movement accommodation. The sealant is suitable for forklift and vehicular traffic, abrasion resistant, fast curing, easy to apply at low temperatures, primer-less for most applications, can be applied to damp substrates, and forms a hard yet flexible seal that resists picking and vandalism.
Key Points:
– High-modulus, one-part sealant with rapid cure forming a durable elastomer.
– Suitable for trafficked joints (6–20 mm) and non-trafficked/recessed joints up to 40 mm.
– Supports forklift and vehicular traffic, abrasion resistant, and primer-less for most applications.
– Hard yet flexible, easy to apply even at low temperatures, and resists picking and vandalism.
Shelf life of 12 months if kept in a dry store at 10 – 20°C in original unopened packaging. If stored at high temperatures and/ or high humidity, the shelf life may be significantly reduced.

Nitoseal MS300 is ideal for sealing saw-cut and movement joints in internal floors, as well as external joints where high abrasion resistance is required. It is also suitable for external façade joints that need a tougher, more durable seal. Typical applications include factory floors, sports stadia terracing, shopping centres, warehouses and distribution depots, concrete hardstanding areas, and prisons.
Advantages
Nitoseal MS300 is designed to withstand heavy use and traffic, including forklift truck movement. It is suitable for both saw-cut and perimeter joints and provides excellent abrasion resistance. The sealant can endure vehicular traffic, is a single-component system with a fast curing rate, and can be applied even at low temperatures or to damp substrates. In most cases, it does not require a primer. Once cured, it forms a hard yet flexible seal that resists picking and vandalism.
Preparation
Joints in concrete should ideally be sawn, with all saw slurry thoroughly flushed away and the joint allowed to dry. When resealing, remove any existing sealant and clean the joint edges back to sound, clean concrete. All debris must be removed, and joint surfaces should be dry, clean, and frost-free. Contaminants can be removed by wire brushing, grinding, or grit blasting.
Check any expansion joint filler to ensure it is tightly packed with no gaps or voids at the base before placing a bond breaker. Note: A bond breaker is not required for expansion joints containing Hydrocell XL cellular polyethylene filler. For construction or contraction joints, use a bond breaker tape or back-up strip. Masking the joint edges is recommended where a particularly neat finish is required; remove masking immediately after tooling.
Priming
Use Fosroc Primer MS2 for joints that will be intermittently or permanently immersed, or where the substrate may become saturated (e.g., external joints). To prepare the primer, empty the contents of the hardener tin into the base tin, replace the lid, and shake for at least 2 minutes to mix thoroughly. Apply primer to the joint faces with a clean, dry brush, avoiding over-application or puddles. Nitoseal MS300 should be applied within 30 minutes to 4 hours after priming. If a joint remains unsealed for more than 4 hours, remove the primer by grit blasting or grinding, then re-prime. Do not split Fosroc Primer MS2 packs.
Application and Finishing
Cut the end of the Nitoseal MS300 sachet and place it in a Fosroc GX Gun. Fit the nozzle and cut at a 45° angle to the required size. Extrude the sealant firmly into the joint and tool to the desired finish—flush or recessed—within 5 minutes of application to ensure proper adhesion to the substrate.
Cleaning
Clean all tools immediately after use with Fosroc Equipment Cleaner.
Limitations
– Do not apply at temperatures below 5 °C.
– Not suitable for contact with bituminous materials.
– Although Nitoseal MS300 adheres well to many types of residual sealant, it should not replace proper joint preparation.
– For large joints, ensure the sealant is fully cured before subjecting it to traffic; in 40 mm joints, curing may take up to 10 days.
– Flush-finished joints are not recommended in areas prone to significant thermal movement (e.g., external locations exposed to direct sunlight), as the sealant may bulge above the joint surface during contraction.
