Suitable for hardwood furniture
Before you start
– Preparation is simple—use a stiff brush to remove dirt from the furniture. If there is heavy mould, algae, or fungi, clean it thoroughly with a garden furniture cleaner. If the furniture has an existing coating, use a garden furniture stripper to remove it completely. Ensure the furniture is fully dry before applying the restorer and only use in dry conditions.
Application
1. Stir the tin thoroughly to ensure a smooth consistency, then test on a hidden area to check the result.
2. Apply generously using a brush and work the product into the surface with a stiff bristle brush.
3. Leave it for 15 minutes to work, ensuring it does not dry out—if it does, apply another coat and scrub again.
4. After 15 minutes, rinse off with a hose. For heavily greyed wood, a second application may be needed.
5. Once satisfied, allow the furniture to dry for 1–2 days before applying oil or stain.
Cleaning
– Any product on skin can be washed off easily with warm soapy water. Brushes should be cleaned in warm water after use.
Maintenance
– Do not leave wooden furniture untreated, as this can lead to greying or rotting. After restoring, apply an oil or stain to protect and maintain the natural finish.
