Sika®-1 is a normal-setting liquid waterproofing admixture for cementitious mortars and concrete, designed to reduce water penetration by blocking capillaries and pores within the applied system. It is suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications, including renders, masonry mortars, screeds, reinforced and unreinforced concrete, and brick, concrete and stone substrates. Sika®-1 is ideal for areas such as basements, swimming pools, tunnels, water tanks, manholes and culverts, including applications in tropical and hot climates.

Suitable for:
– Waterproofing of renders, masonry mortars and screeds.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
MIXING
– Stir Sika®-1 slowly before use to achieve a homogeneous, lump-free consistency.
– Dilute Sika®-1 in the gauging water and stir slowly before adding to the mortar or concrete mixer.
– Sika®-1 may also be added neat, provided the mix is thoroughly blended to achieve a homogeneous consistency.
APPLICATION METHOD / TOOLS
– Follow standard good concreting practices for production, placing and curing, in accordance with relevant standards.
– Sika®-1 can be combined with many other Sika® products, subject to preliminary compatibility testing.
