Sika® Black Jack®-907 Solar Reflective Paint is a thin, brushable, bituminous-based aluminium paint that dries to a silvery finish, designed to reduce heat absorption on primed metal walls and roofs. It is ideal for use as a light- and heat-reflective coating on primed metals and existing bituminous surfaces, helping to prolong their life by protecting against UV degradation. The paint dries quickly, typically within one hour under normal conditions, providing efficient protection and durability for roof repairs and coatings.

LIMITATIONS
Do not use in areas where subsequent solvent contact is likely.
Allow sufficient drying time between coats.
Avoid inhalation of vapours in confined spaces.
Do not apply directly onto expanded polystyrene. Bitumen paint may bleed through paints applied over it, so always test compatibility before use. As the manufacturer cannot anticipate all possible applications, it is the user’s responsibility to ensure suitability. If in doubt, contact the Technical Services department for guidance.
ECOLOGY, HEALTH AND SAFETY
Observe local safety regulations and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), especially when cutting or handling the product.
Transportation Class: The product is not classified as hazardous for transport.
Disposal: The material is recyclable; disposal must follow local regulations. Contact your local Sika sales organisation for further guidance.
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION
Ensure all surfaces are dry and thoroughly cleaned of dirt, dust, and grease. Remove any remaining moisture from wet surfaces using a brush or dry cloth. Repair cracks and holes with Black Jack® 903 Bitumen Trowel Mastic, and secure loose felt with Black Jack® 904 Roof Felt Adhesive. Prime concrete, cement, and other porous surfaces with Black Jack® 902 Bitumen and Flashing Primer and allow to dry. Remove any green growth using Sika® Mouldbuster as directed before proceeding.
APPLICATION
Stir Sika® Black Jack®-907 Solar Reflective Paint before use and periodically during application. Apply two coats with a brush or mohair roller, applying the second coat once the first is dry (1–2 hours). When applying over recently applied bituminous coatings, observe minimum waiting periods after the final coat: hot-applied – 6 hours; solvent-based – 3 days; water-based – 2 weeks. Apply thin coats to cover the black colour without ponding, using light pressure when brushing.
CLEANING OF TOOLS
Clean all tools immediately after use with Sika® Wonder Wipes or white spirit. Wipe off any spillage from surfaces before the bitumen paint has set.
