Sikafloor-125 Level Latex is a ready-to-use, latex-modified smoothing and levelling compound designed for advanced flexibility and resilience. Ideal for levelling uneven rigid internal floors before applying final coverings, it is highly fluid and self-smoothing. The compound is easy to apply manually or by pump, offers low shrinkage, and maintains good workability and joint healing throughout its pot life. It is fast-setting, with excellent surface appearance and hardness, while providing outstanding freeze-thaw salt resistance. Additionally, it is protein and formaldehyde free, making it suitable for use in underfloor heating applications beneath heating cables/pipes or on top of heated screeds.

Sikafloor-125 Level Latex is ideal for levelling and smoothing various surfaces, including concrete, sand/cement screeds (excluding anhydrite), quarry tiles, terrazzo, and ceramic tiles. It is also suitable for use in underfloor heating applications, both beneath heating cables/pipes and on top of heated screeds.
APPLICATION
Substrate Quality / Pre-Treatment:
- Normal Absorbent Concrete/Screed: These surfaces typically do not require priming. Damp the floor with clean water (without puddles) and allow it to surface dry. If the water absorbs immediately, treat as a porous surface.
- Porous Concrete/Screed: Seal the surface with SikaBond® PVA+ (1 part PVA to 4 parts clean water), ensuring it is well coated, then allow it to dry. For highly porous substrates, additional coats may be necessary to prevent pinholes and cracking/debonding.
- Non-Porous/Dense Substrates (e.g., Quarry/Ceramic Tiles, Terrazzo, Smooth Concrete): Mechanically roughen the surface by grinding or scarifying to create a key. Alternatively, apply a bonding coat of undiluted SikaBond® PVA+ and allow it to become tacky before applying the levelling compound.
Mixing:
- Unfilled (up to 6 mm thick): Slowly add 5 parts powder to 1 part clean water (25 kg powder requires 5 L water). Mix in a clean container using a mechanical mixer with a spiral paddle at a slow speed until fully mixed and smooth. Do not add extra water, and discard any unused material after 20 minutes.
- Filled (up to 25 mm thick): Mix Sikafloor-125 Level Latex at a 1:1 ratio with sharp sand, then add clean water. Slowly add 10 parts powder to 1 part water (25 kg powder + 25 kg sharp sand require 5 L water). Mix thoroughly to achieve a smooth consistency. Do not add extra water, and discard any unused material after 20 minutes.
Application:
Sikafloor-125 Level Latex can be applied from 6 mm thick (25 mm when filled) down to a featheredge. Pour the mixed product onto the floor and spread evenly with a steel trowel to form a thin, tight scrape coat within the working time. Immediately add more mixed product to achieve the desired thickness. Trowel marks should flow out to leave a smooth finish. If needed, use a spiked roller on unfilled product for a more uniform surface appearance.
Cleaning of Tools:
Clean all tools and equipment with water immediately after use. Hardened material can only be removed mechanically.
Limitations:
- Sikafloor-125 Level Latex must be covered with a floor covering and is not suitable as a final wearing surface.
- Do not use on flexible or unstable substrates, such as timber, vinyl, insulation/building boards, or anhydrite screeds.
- For advice on substrate suitability, contact Sika Technical Department.
- Not suitable for use on floors with rising damp or as a damp-proof membrane (DPM).
- Always adhere to the recommended water quantity and do not add any other materials to the mix.
- Not for external use or for embedding underfloor heating systems.
- Always add Sikafloor-125 Level Latex to water, not the other way around.
