SikaBond® PVA Wood Adhesive+ is a versatile wood adhesive suitable for internal and external use, providing a high-strength, impact-resistant bond that is usually stronger than the wood itself. With a fast initial set of approximately 10 minutes, it is ideal for general woodworking, joinery, furniture assembly and household DIY projects. Its D3 water-resistance classification makes it suitable for applications requiring good water resistance, while its water-based formula ensures easy clean-up and a clear, non-staining finish.

Storage Conditions – Store in a cool, dry place between +5°C and +25°C. Protect from frost and direct sunlight. Keep containers tightly sealed when not in use. Slight separation may occur during storage, with a thin layer forming above the thicker product. This is purely cosmetic and does not affect performance. Mix thoroughly before use.

LIMITATIONS
-
Not suitable for continuous immersion in water.

Not suitable for load-bearing applications.

Ensure wood moisture content is below 15%.

Do not use at temperatures below +10°C.

Drying time increases at lower temperatures.

Remove excess adhesive from the glue line with a damp cloth after clamping, before it dries.
-
Sand off excess adhesive before staining or varnishing.
-
Ensure sufficient clamping pressure, particularly when using radio frequency bonding.

Laminate applications: Suitable only for bonding small, porous laminate strips. For non-porous or large laminate areas, use Stick2 Contact Adhesive.

Exterior use: Protect all glue joints with waterproof paint once dry.
-
Discolouration may occur on certain wood types, including cherry, beech and some oaks, due to natural variations or reactions between iron and tannins. Test compatibility before large-scale use.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION
– Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry and free from grease.
APPLICATION METHOD / TOOLS
-
Apply a thin layer of adhesive to both surfaces.
-
Avoid applying too much adhesive, as this will slow curing.
-
Remove excess adhesive immediately using a damp cloth.
-
Clamp the surfaces together until the adhesive dries.
-
Initial bond forms after approximately 10 minutes.
-
Support the bonded surfaces until fully cured. Full strength is achieved within approximately 8 hours at +20°C.

When fitting dowels, apply adhesive to the holes.
-
Suitable for radio frequency curing systems.
