Applications:
Thompson’s Advanced Brick & Mortar Cleaner 5L is designed for removing cement stains, mortar splashes, efflorescence, and general building residue from brickwork, masonry, concrete, and paving surfaces after construction or renovation work. It is commonly used on exterior walls, patios, driveways, and stone surfaces to restore the natural appearance of bricks and masonry. The cleaner is typically applied to damp surfaces using a brush or sprayer, allowed to react briefly to dissolve alkaline residues, and then rinsed thoroughly with water. It is suitable for both domestic and professional building maintenance where post-construction cleaning of mineral surfaces is required.
Limitations:
The cleaner is acidic and therefore should not be used on acid-sensitive materials such as limestone, marble, polished stone, or certain decorative concrete finishes, as it may cause etching or discoloration. It is also unsuitable for painted, sealed, or metal surfaces and may damage surrounding vegetation if not properly protected or rinsed away. The product should not be used indoors without adequate ventilation, and it must be handled with protective gloves and eye protection due to its corrosive nature.
