Ronseal Ultimate Protection Hardwood Garden Furniture Stain is designed to protect outdoor furniture from sun and water damage while enhancing the natural beauty of the wood. Offering longer-lasting performance than traditional garden furniture oils, it reduces the need for frequent re-coating. Easy to apply with a brush or lint-free cloth, the stain becomes rainproof in just one hour and helps prevent cracking, peeling, splitting, and discolouration caused by UV exposure, delivering up to three years of protection.

Suitable for hardwood garden furniture
Application Conditions
Apply only on warm days above 10 °C with no rain forecast.
Preparation
– Sand weathered, varnished, or oiled wood back to bare wood to ensure proper adhesion.
– Lightly sand new furniture to remove splinters and rough areas.
– Clean the surface with white spirit to remove dirt and grease.
Application
– Stir the stain thoroughly using a brush handle or wooden stick.
– Test the colour on a small, inconspicuous area before full application.
– Apply the first coat using a brush, following the direction of the wood grain.
– Allow 4 hours drying time between coats and apply up to three coats for best results.
– Leave the furniture for 48 hours after the final coat to fully dry and harden before use.
Cleaning
– Remove excess stain from brushes and clean with warm soapy water.
– Regularly wipe furniture with a damp cloth to prevent dirt build-up.
Maintenance
– Three coats provide protection for up to three years.
– Reapply additional coats as needed if signs of wear or damage appear.
