SikaMix Integral Waterproofer is a liquid/gel admixture designed to provide long-term protection against water penetration in mortar, render, and screed applications. By significantly reducing water permeability and surface absorption, it helps protect structures from water damage in demanding environments such as swimming pools, water tanks, roofs, external rendering, pointing, and below-ground construction. The formulation includes an air-entraining agent that improves workability without flattening the mix, eliminating the need for a separate plasticiser. It is also low in toxicity, chloride-free in practical terms (<0.01%), and will not corrode steel reinforcement.

Suitable for:
– Pool and tank linings
– Roof areas
– Mortars and screeds
– External renders and pointing
– As part of waterproofing below ground level (basements etc.).
LIMITATIONS
– Not suitable for structural concrete applications.
– Does not replace a damp-proof course (DPC).
– Will not withstand permanent hydrostatic pressure.
– For tanking applications, use with Sika® Black Jack® 908 DPM.
– Does not provide a water-repellent surface finish.
– Where a water-repellent finish is required, apply Sika® Water Sealer.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
MIXING
– Add 125–250 ml per 25 kg of cement to the gauging water.
– Alternatively, dilute 1 part SikaMix Integral Waterproofer with 20–40 parts water before adding to the mix.
– Mix thoroughly until fully dispersed.
– Keep the mix as stiff as possible to minimise cracking.
– Reduce the total water content by up to 20%.
BELOW GROUND WORK
– Use a mix ratio of 3 parts sharp sand (BS 1199) to 1 part cement by volume.
– Do not apply to weak or unsound backgrounds.
EXTERNAL WATERPROOF RENDERS
– Use a mix ratio of 4.5 parts sharp sand (BS 1199) to 1 part cement by volume.
– Apply render in two coats to a total thickness of 18–20 mm.
ROUGH CAST WORK
– Use a backing coat mix of 3 parts sharp sand (BS 1199) to 1 part cement by volume.
SWIMMING POOLS, TANKS ETC.
– Use a mix ratio of 3 parts sharp sand (BS 1199) to 1 part cement by volume.
– Apply a render thickness of 18–20 mm to walls.
– Apply a render thickness of 35–38 mm to floors.
– Stagger joints and form coved corners.
– Overcoat with an impervious coating or tiles for best results.
