ARDEX SK90 Internal Corners are preformed inner corners designed to provide flexible, water-impermeable bridging for connections and movement joints. These corners are part of the ARDEX TRICOM sealing set, which also includes bands and sleeves. The complete set is compatible with all ARDEX system seals, ensuring a secure waterproof seal for a variety of applications. Preparation of the Surface
All guidelines in the Technical Data Sheets for ARDEX waterproofing compounds and membranes must be followed. Joint openings should be sized according to their calculated movement and, if necessary, chamfered at the edges to prevent loop formation.
Processing
Corners and collars should be embedded fresh into the ARDEX sealing compound, applied by rolling, combing, or trowelling just beforehand, and pressed down firmly using a smoothing trowel or spatula. The sealing compound must match that used for the composite sealing. For use with ARDEX SK 100 W waterproofing membrane, ARDEX 8 + 9 or ARDEX S 7 PLUS should be used to embed corners and collars. In the joint area, corners and collars should overlap approximately 5 cm or be fully covered with sealing compound, ensuring the compound does not enter the movement space below. After all components are in place, the composite sealing is formed, with corners and collars incorporated into the second sealing layer. In movable zones, such as expansion joints, the sealing material should be left out to maintain movement capacity.
Please Note
The ARDEX SK TRICOM sealing set must not come into direct contact with solvent-based waterproofing or adhesives. In areas exposed to aggressive chemicals, oils, fuels, or alcohols, technical advice should be sought prior to use. If uncertain, a test or compatibility check should be performed. All processing instructions in the Technical Data Sheets for ARDEX sealing products must be strictly followed.
