BAL Protective Sealer is a water-based, temporary tile sealer designed to protect tile surfaces from discolouration when using pigmented grouts. Compatible with all BAL grouting products, it is applied prior to grouting and easily removed by washing off once grouting is complete. Suitable for most tile types, BAL Protective Sealer helps prevent staining issues, reducing the risk of costly re-grouting or re-tiling and saving both time and money on site.

SURFACE PREPARATION
General
Ensure that all tile surfaces are clean, dry, sound, and free from any contamination before applying the sealer.
APPLICATION/USAGE
Do not use in temperatures below 5°C or in damp conditions.
Usage Procedure
Use the product undiluted, prior to grouting:
1. Shake the container well before use.
2. Apply BAL PROTECTIVE SEALER using a clean, colour-fast lint-free cloth.
3. Rub thoroughly into the tile surface, avoiding ungrouted joints.
4. Allow 15 minutes for the first coat to dry.
5. Apply a second coat in the same manner.
6. Allow to dry for at least 1 hour, depending on temperature.
7. Apply BAL grout following the instructions on the BAL TECHNICAL DATA SHEET.
8. During the washing-off process, BAL PROTECTIVE SEALER will be removed. Any remaining residue can be cleaned with water after the grout has fully set.
