Suitable for
• Fixing ceramic tiles up to 300 × 300 mm (or an equivalent tile area of up to 0.09 m², e.g. 450 × 200 mm or 600 × 150 mm), porcelain tiles up to 150 × 150 mm (or an equivalent area of up to 0.0225 m²), mosaics, and selected natural stone. Not suitable for translucent or water-sensitive tiles in dry or wet interior environments.

NOT suitable for

Do NOT use in temperatures below 5°C or in damp conditions.
When fixing larger format ceramic tiles onto non-porous surfaces (e.g., existing tiles), drying times will be extended. For larger tiles, consider using a cementitious adhesive from the BAL range.

NOTE: Ensure the adhesive bed achieves full contact with both the background and tile, in accordance with BS 5385, Parts 1–5.

Fixing procedure
1. Apply adhesive to the wall and comb to the required bed thickness, making sure all adhesive ribs run in the same direction. For large ceramics (300 x 300mm or equivalent surface area up to 0.09m², e.g., 450 x 200mm, 600 x 150mm) or heavily patterned tiles, apply an additional layer of adhesive (maximum 3 mm) to the tile back.
2. For mosaics, use a rubber tile float to press sheets into the adhesive, ensuring tesserae joints are staggered to match between sheets. For tiles, press firmly into the adhesive ribs with a slight twisting or sliding motion for optimal contact.
3. Always fix tiles/mosaics before the adhesive skins. If skin forms, remove the adhesive and reapply fresh material.
4. Occasionally lift a tile/mosaic to check coverage: a minimum of 75% for dry areas and 100% for wet areas, ensuring no voids remain behind the tiles.
5. Maintain adequate spacing between individual tiles unless using self-spacing tiles.
6. Install movement joints according to BS 5385, Parts 1–5.
7. Clean any excess adhesive from tile faces and joints before it dries.
