Bond-it Solvobond 6200 uPVC Solvent Pipe Cement is a fast-acting solvent adhesive designed for permanently bonding rigid uPVC pipes, conduits, and fittings used in plumbing, irrigation, and drainage systems. It works by chemically softening the surfaces of uPVC components so they fuse together, creating a strong, watertight joint once cured. The product is typically applied with a brush applicator to clean, dry pipe ends and sockets before assembly, making it suitable for domestic and light commercial pipe installations such as waste systems, cold water lines, and electrical conduit applications. However, it is limited to rigid uPVC materials only and should not be used on flexible PVC, ABS, polyethylene, polypropylene, or metal surfaces. It is also unsuitable for potable hot-water systems, pressurised gas lines, or areas exposed to continuous high temperatures. For best performance, surfaces must be properly prepared and the adhesive should be used in well-ventilated conditions due to its solvent content.
