Everbuild Aquaseal Wet Room System is ideal for use in showers, wet rooms, and wet zones in bathrooms, providing waterproofing prior to tiling. It is designed for application on board joints, corners, and pipe entries, and is suitable for use on a variety of surfaces including plasterboard, MDF, concrete, wet room boards, plywood, and more.

Application Method / Tools
The EVERBUILD® Aquaseal® Wet Room System is a complete waterproofing kit that covers 7.5 square meters (4.5 square meters for the standard shower kit). The kit includes the following components, applied in the order listed:
- Waterproof Tanking Primer – A ready-to-use primer applied by brush to all porous and semi-porous surfaces to be waterproofed. It dries quickly and can be over-coated after 1 hour.
- Waterproof Tanking Tape – A self-adhesive butyl-backed fleece tape applied to corner joints, board joints, and pipe penetrations to ensure a watertight seal that accommodates cross-directional movement. The 10-meter roll is typically sufficient for 7.5 square meters.
- Waterproof Drain Mat – A self-adhesive, butyl-backed fleece designed to cope with board movement around the drain outlet, the most water-sensitive area.
- Waterproof Tanking Membrane – A ready-to-use liquid waterproofing compound applied in two coats by brush. It forms a flexible, watertight membrane, is low-hazard, solvent-free, and dries quickly, allowing tiling to begin after 12 hours.
The tape can be over-coated with the Aquaseal Waterproof Tanking Membrane immediately after application. Ensure that tape overlaps on both sides of internal corners to avoid weak spots.
Limitations
- Not suitable for timber or boards treated with spirit or stearate-based coatings.
- Not for use in areas with high temperatures.
