PU230 is a thixotropic polyurethane paste adhesive, highly water-resistant and suitable for external use where wetting or high humidity is expected. It is ideal for bonding windows, doors, staircases, architraves, boat building, and fixing carpet grippers to concrete or wooden floors. PU230 meets EN 204 (D4) standards and provides rapid curing and excellent adhesion to most building materials, even damp substrates. Its gap-filling properties make it effective on irregular or uneven surfaces without the need for priming.

Suitable for:
– Thixotropic PU adhesive paste that cures rapidly
– Forms an exceptionally strong, water-resistant bond

– Bonds porous-to-porous and porous-to-nonporous surfaces
Preparation
– Always perform a compatibility test prior to use.
– Surfaces to be bonded must be close-fitting, clean, degreased, and free from dust or contaminants.
– Dampening surfaces with a moist cloth or spray can accelerate curing.
– Roughen non-porous surfaces to improve adhesion.
Application
– Cut the end of the thread with a sharp knife and trim the nozzle to the required diameter.
– Ensure good contact between joint surfaces before applying adhesive; spread quickly using a notched spreader.
– Bring components together within 2 minutes and clamp securely for at least 30 minutes until sufficient bond strength develops.
Coverage
250–400 ml per m², depending on substrate.
Cleaning
– Remove excess adhesive immediately with AA290 PU Foam Cleaner; ensure surfaces are solvent-resistant.
– Cured adhesive can only be removed mechanically.
Please Note
– Not suitable for bonding polyethylene, polypropylene, Teflon®, Nylon, or sheet laminate.
– Moisture content of wood must not exceed 30% w/w.
