Febgrout Flowable Universal Anchoring Grout is a high-strength, shrinkage-compensated structural precision grout designed for vibration resistance and durability. It can be poured or pumped to fill concrete gaps from 10mm to 150mm wide, making it ideal for various structural applications such as bridge bearings, machine bedding, parapet legs, and stanchion base plates. The product is pre-batched for quality, easy to mix and apply by simply adding water, and contains no chloride admixtures. With excellent mechanical properties, high water and rain resistance, and fire protection comparable to concrete, it ensures reliable, long-lasting performance.

Key Points:

  1. High Performance – Strong, shrinkage-compensated, and vibration-resistant.
  2. Easy Application – Pre-batched powder; just add water, mix, and apply.
  3. Versatile Usage – Suitable for bridge bearings, machine bedding, and other structural grouting needs.
  4. Durable & Resistant – Hard-wearing, high water/rain resistance, and fire protection comparable to concrete.

Coverage: Varies based on substrate roughness and application thickness. As a guideline, one bag yields approximately 13.0 liters of mortar.

Shelf Life: 9 months

Storage Conditions: Store in a dry environment, keeping the original, sealed packaging intact and undamaged at temperatures between 5°C and 35°C.

Febgrout Flowable is suitable for general-purpose grouting. Can be used for under stanchion plates, filling cavities, voids, gaps, and recesses, sealing around penetrations, securing machine and base plates, and post fixings. It is ideal for both interior and exterior applications.

Application Instructions

Substrate Preparation:

  • Concrete, Mortar, Stone: Ensure surfaces are sound, clean, and free from ice, oil, grease, standing water, loose particles, and contaminants.
  • Steel, Iron: Remove oil, grease, rust, and scale for a clean surface.
  • Formwork: Use strong, sealed formwork treated with a release agent to prevent leakage. Sikaflex®-11FC+ can be used to seal joints. Include outlets for pre-soaking water extraction and construct a header box/hopper to maintain a 150-200mm grout head.

Mixing:
Add the required water to a forced action grout mixer or clean drum. Gradually pour in the full bag of Febgrout Flowable while mixing continuously for three minutes to achieve a smooth, lump-free consistency. A slow-speed drill (200-500 rpm) with a spiral paddle mixer can also be used.

Application:
Pour the grout into the header box/hopper, ensuring a continuous flow to prevent air entrapment. Use steel banding or chains to aid the flow if needed. For large placements, grout pumps are recommended. In cold weather, warm water can be used to enhance strength gain and physical properties.

Curing:
Once the grout has initially hardened, remove formwork and trim edges while the material is still ‘green.’ Protect from premature drying with a curing compound (e.g., Sikafloor® ProSeal), moist geo-textile membrane, hessian, or polythene sheeting. In cold conditions, use heat blankets to maintain temperature.

Cleaning:
Clean tools and equipment with water immediately after use. Once hardened, the material can only be removed mechanically.
