SikaCeram® CleanGrout is a cementitious floor and wall tile grout designed for joints between 1–8 mm wide, providing a durable, colour-stable finish for both interior and exterior tiling applications. Formulated with advanced additives, it offers excellent resistance to mould, bacteria, and fungal growth while delivering strong water repellency, abrasion resistance, and long-lasting hardness. Its UV-resistant and frost-proof properties make it suitable for a wide range of wall and floor installations where durability and hygiene are essential.

EQUIPMENT
– Select suitable tools for the project:
Mixing equipment: Low-speed electric single or double paddle mixer (≈500 rpm) with spiral paddle.
Application tools: grout spreader, squeegee, grouting float/trowel, sponge, soft cloth, and grout finishing tool.
SUBSTRATE QUALITY / PRE-TREATMENT
– Ensure joints are clean, dry, and free from adhesive residue, contaminants, and spacers before grouting.
– Surface must not be damp or have standing water.
– In hot conditions or on absorbent substrates, lightly pre-dampen the surface immediately before application (no surface wetness).
MIXING
IMPORTANT: Avoid over-mixing to reduce air entrainment. Do not add extra water after mixing, and never exceed the recommended water content (mix must not be fluid).
– For high-performance uses (e.g. heavy traffic, façades, pools) or added flexibility, water may be replaced with SikaCeram® LatexGrout (see product data sheet).
– Use a low-speed mixer (≈500 rpm).
– Add clean cold water to a clean container, then gradually add powder while mixing.
– Mix to a smooth, uniform colour, then let stand for 2–3 minutes.
– Remix for ~30 seconds before use.
APPLICATION
IMPORTANT: Ensure adhesive is fully set before grouting.
– Apply grout using a spreader, squeegee, or float, ensuring joints are fully filled and compacted.
– Remove excess grout diagonally across joints using the application tool.
– Finish joints while grout is still wet if required.
– When touch dry, clean tiles with a damp sponge (rinse regularly).
– Once grout is firm (finger-nail hard), polish with a clean dry cloth.
– If SikaCeram® LatexGrout is used, polish tiles immediately after initial sponge cleaning.
CLEANING OF TOOLS
– Clean all tools and equipment with water immediately after use.
Cured material must be removed mechanically.
