Acrypol Scrim White (15 cm x 20 m roll, supplied 5 per box) is a polyester reinforcement fabric designed to be used alongside liquid roofing systems such as Acrypol coatings to strengthen repairs on roofs, gutters, and flashing details. Its main application is bridging cracks, joints, and splits in substrates like felt, asphalt, metal, and concrete, where it becomes embedded into the wet coating to create a durable, flexible, and waterproof seal. The open-weave structure allows coatings to fully saturate the scrim, enhancing adhesion and long-term performance, particularly in areas subject to movement or minor structural stress. However, its effectiveness depends on correct installation and compatible coatings; it is not intended for use as a standalone waterproofing material, nor is it suitable for large structural repairs or heavily trafficked surfaces without additional protection. Limitations also include reduced performance on poorly prepared, damp, or contaminated surfaces, and it should not be used where significant substrate movement or standing water exceeds the coating system’s capabilities.
