ARDEX MG Flexible Rapid Set Tile & Stone Grout (11kg) is a high-performance cement-based grout specifically developed for grouting wall and floor tiles, particularly moisture-sensitive natural stone such as marble and limestone. It is widely used in both domestic and commercial interior tiling projects where a fast turnaround is required, as its rapid-setting formulation allows surfaces to become walkable in approximately 90 minutes. The product incorporates advanced RAPIDRY technology, which binds the mix water within the grout to significantly reduce the risk of water staining and discolouration—an important advantage when working with porous or delicate stone finishes. It is suitable for joints up to 8mm wide and can be applied on walls and floors, including areas with underfloor heating, providing a durable, smooth, and easy-to-clean finish.
However, despite its versatility, ARDEX MG has some limitations. It is designed primarily for internal use only and is not suitable for external environments or permanently wet areas such as swimming pools or continuously saturated zones. Additionally, while it performs well in intermittently wet conditions (e.g., kitchens or bathrooms), care must be taken with highly porous or textured tiles, as staining or surface discolouration can still occur without proper testing or sealing. Its relatively short working time (around 30 minutes) also requires efficient application, which may be challenging for less experienced users or large-scale projects.
