TRICOM sealing tape is a versatile solution designed for both indoor and outdoor use on walls and floors. It provides flexible, waterproof bridging for movement joints, edge joints, and connections or penetrations that may be prone to cracking. The tape is highly durable, being tear-resistant, stretchable, and resistant to alkalis and aggressive media, making it reliable under a wide range of weather and environmental conditions. ARDEX SK TRICOM sealing tape features a polypropylene non-woven carrier laminated on both sides with a polyurethane layer. The tape is waterproof, easy to cut with a knife or scissors, and embeds seamlessly into waterproofing compounds. It maintains its shape without folding and offers excellent adhesion to waterproofing materials, ensuring a reliable and durable seal.

Suitable for flexible and waterproof bridging of movement joints, edge joints as well as connections and penetrations at risk of cracking
Preparation of the substrate
Follow the instructions in the Technical Data Sheets for ARDEX sealants and ARDEX sealing membranes. Joint openings must be wide enough to accommodate their calculated movement and, if necessary, bevelled at the edges to form a loop.
Processing
Lay the sealing tapes freshly into the ARDEX sealing compound, which should have been rolled, combed, or trowelled on shortly beforehand. Press the tape firmly with a smoothing trowel or spatula. The ARDEX sealant used must match the one specified for the subsequent bonded waterproofing. When using the ARDEX SK 100 W waterproofing membrane, embed the sealing tapes with ARDEX 7 + 8 sealing adhesive. Lightly pressing the tape over edges or movement joints allows the formation of a loop as a material reserve for larger movements. Ensure that the sealant does not penetrate into the movement space underneath. In joint areas, sealing tapes should overlap by at least 5 cm or be covered with the appropriate sealing compound.
After all components of the sealing set are installed, the bonded seal can be formed. Apply the second layer of the bonded waterproofing over the sealing tape, corners, and sleeves. In moving zones, such as expansion joints, leave the waterproofing material out at the same width to allow for joint movement.
