EVERBUILD 201 Mortar Admix is suitable for load-bearing brickwork, block laying, external and internal rendering, as well as pointing and repointing brickwork.
Mixing:
Add EVERBUILD® 201 Mortar Admix to the mix at a rate of 150 ml to 250 ml per 50 kg of cement, depending on the level of plasticising or air-entrainment needed. Be sure to reduce the water quantity accordingly. For gauging approximately 4 x 50 kg of cement for mortar or render mixes, add 1 litre of EVERBUILD® 201 Mortar Admix to a 200L drum of gauging water. Although overdosing should be avoided, the formula is tolerant of moderate overdosing (up to twice the maximum recommended amount).
Example mix designs:
- 1:0.25:3 (cement:lime:sand) → Use 1:3 (cement:sand) + Mortar Admix.
- 1:1:6 (cement:lime:sand) → Use 1:6 (cement:sand) + Mortar Admix.
- Bricklaying/Pointing: Use a mix ratio appropriate to brick strength (1:3 to 1:6).
- Internal Renders: Use 1:6 (cement:sand) + Mortar Admix.
- External Renders: Use 1:3 (cement:sand) + Mortar Admix.
Limitations:
- Not suitable for structural concrete.
- Avoid overdosing.
- Do not mix with other additives in the same gauging water.
- Not recommended for use in lime-based mixes.
