CT456 is a spray-applied, modified chloroprene rubber contact adhesive ideal for laminating, postforming, and a wide range of industrial applications. It is particularly suited for the postforming of plastic laminates, offering excellent temperature resistance, instant grab, and high ultimate bond strength—even on tight radii. CT456 can also bond metals, expanded foams, plywood, OSB, particleboard, hardboard, and plasterboard, making it versatile for many manufacturing and assembly processes. Its improved atomisation allows immediate lay-up, eliminates blooming, reduces odour, and provides rapid application with high coverage rates.

Suitable for:
– Ideal for postforming of plastic laminates, including tight radii

– Bonds a wide range of materials: metals, expanded foams, plywood, OSB, particleboard, hardboard, and plasterboard
Preparation
– Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, smooth, firm, and free from contaminants that may affect adhesion.
– Degrease metal surfaces with AT200 High Strength Cleaner and allow to dry completely before bonding.
Application
– Apply the adhesive as a uniform spray to both surfaces and bring the substrates together once the coating is touch-dry.
– Achieve full contact and consolidation by passing the laminate through nip rollers or using platen pressing at maximum pressure without crushing the materials.
Cleaning
– Clean tools, equipment, and any uncured adhesive immediately with AT200 High Strength Cleaner.
Please Note
– Not recommended for bonding painted surfaces.
– Unsuitable for expanded polystyrene or highly plasticised PVC materials.
