FA600 is a fast-curing sealant that forms a permanently flexible and highly durable watertight seal, ideal for glazing applications, window and door perimeters, display cases, conservatories, and greenhouses. It meets the requirements of ISO 11600-F&G-25LM and provides long-term resistance to weathering, ageing, and UV exposure. With a wide service temperature range from -40°C to +150°C and neutral curing, FA600 is compatible with sensitive substrates, making it a reliable solution for demanding sealing applications.

Suitable for:

Preparation
– Test substrates for compatibility before use.
– Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, stable, and grease-free.
– Remove loose particles with a brush.
– Clean plastics with AT115; other non-porous substrates with AT200; always perform a preliminary test.
Cleaning
– Remove excess sealant immediately with AT200 High Strength Cleaner.
– Ensure surface is solvent-resistant.
– Cured sealant can only be removed mechanically.
Priming
– FA600 adheres without primer to most construction materials.
– For unusual substrates, consult Tremco CPG Technical Services.
Joint Backing
– Use a PE backing rod to ensure sealant bonds only to two surfaces.
Application
1. Use a quality sealant gun; cut nozzle to desired size.
2. Apply slightly proud of finished level; spray AA301 smoothing agent.
3. Tool off immediately with jointing tool AA311.
4. Remove excess smoothing agent with clean water to avoid streaks.
Notes / Restrictions
– Not suitable for neoprene, butyl rubber, EPDM, bituminous/tar surfaces, trafficable joints, abrasion-prone areas, or overpainting.
– Use FA870/FA880 for natural stone; test other sensitive substrates first.
– IG units require compatibility testing—contact Tremco CPG for guidance.
