Limitations: While the Purdy Colossus Jumbo Sleeve provides excellent coverage on semi-rough surfaces, it may leave excess texture when used on ultra-smooth surfaces such as fine cabinetry, metal, or high-gloss finishes, where a shorter nap roller or foam roller would provide a smoother result. The 4.5-inch width also makes it less efficient for large wall or ceiling areas, where a standard 9-inch roller would cover more surface area quickly. Additionally, the thicker woven fabric can produce a slightly heavier stipple with high-sheen paints, so it is best suited for eggshell, satin, or matte coatings on textured or uneven surfaces.
