Ronseal Trade Polyurethane is a traditional solvent-based varnish designed to provide tough protection against knocks, scuffs, and scratches while delivering a durable clear finish for interior wood surfaces. It helps preserve and enhance the natural look of wood and is available in Mattcoat, Satinglaze, and Hardglaze finishes. The varnish is easy to apply and can be recoated after 6 hours, offering a reliable and long-lasting protective layer.

Suitable to use on interior wood.
Before you start
– Sand the wood using 120 grit paper, wearing a mask to avoid inhaling dust.
– Wipe away any residue with white spirit and allow the surface to dry fully.
– Ensure the room is well ventilated.
– Stir the varnish thoroughly before use and test on a small area to check you are satisfied with the finish.
Application
1. Apply the varnish with a brush, working in the direction of the wood grain.
2. Apply 3 coats, allowing 6 hours drying time between each coat.
3. Lightly sand with 240 grit paper before applying the final coat.
Clean up
– Remove excess varnish from brushes and clean them using white spirit. Do not pour leftover varnish down drains or into watercourses. Check with your local authority for proper disposal options for any unused product.
