It offers excellent mechanical strength, high initial tack, and rapid strength development, making it ideal for demanding construction and industrial applications. Its low-emission, formula is solvent-free, ensuring user safety and environmental compatibility. With outstanding UV and weather resistance, it’s easy to apply—even in tough conditions—and can be painted over with water-based systems and industrial coatings.

Surface Preparation:

Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free of dust, grease, or contaminants.

Slightly moist surfaces are acceptable, but avoid pooling water.
-
For optimal adhesion on non-porous surfaces (e.g. metals, plastics), use a suitable primer if needed.

Application:
-
Apply the sealant using a manual or pneumatic caulking gun.
-
Extrude in beads or ribbons depending on the bonding/sealing requirement.

Press parts together within the open time to ensure proper bonding.
-
For joint sealing, tool the bead within 10 minutes using a spatula or tooling tool to ensure proper contact and smooth finish.

Finishing:
-
Remove excess product with a dry cloth before skin formation.
-
Allow to cure undisturbed; skin forms within ~10–15 minutes (at 23°C and 50% RH).

Full cure depends on thickness but is generally complete within 24–48 hours.

Painting:
-
Once cured, Soudaseal 270HS can be painted with most water-based and industrial paints.

Always test compatibility with the paint system first, especially with alkyd paints.

Limitations:
Not suitable for glass-to-glass bonding or structural glazing applications.
Not for use on PE, PP, PTFE (Teflon) or bituminous substrates.
Avoid contact with chlorinated water (e.g. swimming pools).
Do not use in continuously immersed conditions (e.g. underwater joints).
Not recommended for applications where permanent flexibility is not desired—this product has some rigidity.
Paint compatibility must be tested; some alkyd-based or solvent-containing paints may hinder curing or cause discoloration.
