EVERBUILD 710 Febflor Flexiplus Latex is a latex-modified, cement-based powder that, when mixed with water, can be used to level uneven floors and screeds on surfaces such as concrete, existing ceramic tiles, asphalt, brick, and stone. This product is ideal for use prior to laying ceramic tiles, thermoplastic tiles, lino, wood block flooring, or carpet. It contains powdered latex, eliminating the need for separate latex liquids. When mixed as directed, it forms a free-flowing compound that sets in approximately 90 minutes and can be overlaid after just 8 hours at normal temperatures. However, it is not suitable for use as a final wearing surface. The product offers enhanced flow properties and a long open time, making it easy to apply.
Key Points
- Fast Setting: Sets in 8 hours, allowing for quick overcoating.
- Depth Capability: Can be applied up to 6 mm in depth in one coat.
- Protein-Free: Does not contain protein (casein), ensuring suitability for a wider range of applications.

Shelf Life: 9 months from the date of manufacture when stored according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Storage Conditions: Store at temperatures between 5-25°C and protect from damp.

710 Febflor Flexiplus Latex is ideal for levelling uneven subfloors before covering or tiling, without the need for an additional latex additive.
APPLICATION
Substrate Quality / Pre-Treatment:
Ensure the floors to be treated are free from grease, dust, and loose particles. Always prepare the floors by dampening with water, followed by priming with Everbuild® 501 PVA Bond diluted 1 part PVA to 3 parts water to create a sound, slightly damp surface.
- Timber Floors, Existing Tiling, and Asphalt: Suitable for interior floors only. Timber floors must be securely screwed down at 300 mm centers to prevent movement, with a maximum size of 1 m². Apply Everbuild® 503 SBR Bond diluted 1:1 with clean water, then mix Everbuild® 710 Febflor Flexiplus Latex with water and apply while the bonding coat is still tacky. For existing tiles, degrease and roughen any glazed surfaces before applying the product.
- Sand/Cement Render: Allow at least four weeks for drying before application. Dampen the floor and prime with Everbuild® PVA Bond diluted 1:3 with water, then mix with water as directed.
Application:
Mix 20 kg of Everbuild® 710 Febflor Flexiplus Latex with 4 liters of water, adding the powder to the water gradually while stirring until a free-flowing, creamy compound is formed. Pour the mixture onto the prepared floor and allow it to self-level, lightly trowelling it to achieve a maximum thickness of 6 mm. If further finishing is needed, wait ¾ to 1 hour for the surface to stiffen, then lightly sprinkle with water and carefully trowel to achieve a smooth finish. Do not over-trowel or use excessive water. Additional layers up to 6 mm can be applied to achieve the desired depth, priming with Everbuild® 501 PVA Bond diluted 1:3 with water between layers. For deep depressions (6 mm to 25 mm), add 1 part clean, dry sharp sand to 1 part Self Levelling Compound after mixing with water. Adjust water to achieve the correct consistency. Do not remix or add water if the product begins to set.
Limitations:
- Always mix with clean, fresh water and prime floors as instructed.
- The product is not suitable for rising damp; use with Blackjack D.P.M. liquid damp-proof membrane in such cases.
- Never exceed the recommended water quantity, as it will weaken the compound and cause cracking.
- Do not mix more compound than can be laid within 20 minutes and never attempt to reconstitute once the product has set.
- Turn off underfloor heating 24 hours before and after application.
- Do not use below 4°C.
- It is the user’s responsibility to determine the suitability of the product for specific uses. For guidance, contact the Technical Services Department.
- Setting time will be significantly increased when overlaying impervious surfaces or in cold weather.
