Sika EVERBUILD® Lumberjack® 5 Min PU Wood Adhesive is available in both Liquid and Gel formulations, offering professional-grade performance for fast and reliable bonding applications. The Liquid version is ideal for larger projects and workshop use where greater economy is required, while the thixotropic Gel version provides excellent gap-filling properties and is particularly suited to equipment manufacturing and production line environments requiring rapid handling. Both formulations set hard in just 5 minutes, deliver exceptional bond strength to wood and common building materials, and are fully waterproof to EN204 D4 standards. The adhesive also foams slightly during application to fill minor gaps, improving overall bond strength and durability, while providing excellent resistance to weathering, aging, and chemicals.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION
– Ensure all surfaces to be bonded are clean and free from dust, grease, and other contaminants.
– At least one surface must be porous.
– Roughen non-porous surfaces to improve adhesive key and bonding performance.
– For optimum curing and maximum bond strength, lightly moisten one surface with a damp cloth. Do not over-wet.
APPLICATION METHOD
– Cartridge Products: Cut the cartridge tip carefully without damaging the thread. Attach the nozzle, cut to the required aperture size, and apply using a standard sealant gun.
– Liquid Version: Remove the cap, cut the spout, and apply as required. Replace the cap after use.
– Wearing gloves is recommended during application.
– Apply the adhesive evenly to one surface only. For larger areas, use a fine-toothed spreader if necessary.
– Assemble components immediately and clamp securely during curing (typically 5–30 minutes at 20°C; longer at lower temperatures).
– After initial curing, joints can be handled carefully. Full bond strength is achieved after:
30 minutes for the 5-minute set version
24 hours for the 30-minute set version
– The adhesive foams slightly during curing to help fill minor gaps. Remove excess adhesive or foam with acetone before curing or with a sharp chisel after curing.
CLEANING OF TOOLS
– Clean tools immediately before curing using Everbuild Dual Purpose Foam Cleaner or acetone.
– Once cured, adhesive can only be removed mechanically.
LIMITATIONS
– Apply only at temperatures between +5°C and +30°C.
– Always clamp surfaces securely during use.
– At least one bonded surface must be porous.
– Not suitable for polyethylene, polypropylene, Teflon, or nylon.
– Surfaces may be damp, but wood moisture content must not exceed 30% w/w.
– Due to slight expansion during curing, do not use on sheet laminate. Use STICK 2 Contact Adhesive instead.
– Setting times may increase in low temperatures or low humidity conditions.
