Sika® Stone Protector is a water-based solution designed to protect all types of natural stone by preventing water penetration and resisting stains while maintaining the surface’s natural appearance. Suitable for both interior and exterior use, it offers reliable protection without altering the look of the material. The formula dries quickly in around three hours and, once cured, provides effective resistance against water, oil, and common household spillages such as tea, coffee, and wine.

LIMITATIONS
– Sika Stone Protector is only effective when it can penetrate the surface, so it should not be used on non-porous materials. Avoid applying it to painted surfaces or those previously treated with stearate or silicone-based water repellents.
LOCAL RESTRICTIONS
– Do not apply if rain is expected within 6 hours (at +20 °C). Avoid use in areas where temperatures may exceed +150 °C, as the product will break down at this level. It is the user’s responsibility to confirm suitability for use; if unsure, contact Technical Services for guidance.

Always read the latest Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use. This provides essential information on safe handling, storage, disposal, and details on physical, ecological, and toxicological properties.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
SUBSTRATE QUALITY / PRE-TREATMENT
– Ensure all surfaces are clean and free from dust, oil, and grease. Remove any organic growth using Sika® Mouldbuster.
– For existing paving, clear away all organic matter and loose debris. If the surface has been power-washed, allow it to dry completely before application. For new paving, sweep thoroughly with a stiff brush to remove dust and loose particles.
APPLICATION
1. Shake well before use.
2. Apply in dry conditions using a good-quality long pile roller or a suitable brush, ensuring an even coat and covering any surface irregularities without allowing the product to pool.
3. Do not apply at temperatures below +5 °C or if rain is expected within 6 hours. Drying time will vary depending on conditions but is typically 1–3 hours at +20 °C, and longer below +10 °C. Ensure the surface is fully dry before use.
4. One coat is usually sufficient, but very porous surfaces, such as Indian sandstone, may require a second coat. Apply the second coat within 30 minutes, before the first coat dries.
5. A small trial area is recommended to check coverage and appearance.
CLEANING OF TOOLS
