This one-part, premium-quality sealant and adhesive is formulated with advanced STP hybrid polymer technology, providing a high-modulus, neutral-curing solution suitable for demanding environments. It forms tough, elastic rubber joints that remain permanently flexible (up to 300% elongation), making it ideal for areas with high humidity or where superior bonding strength is required. The product is overpaintable, non-shrinking, non-cracking, bubble-free, and free from isocyanates, solvents, silicone, and phthalates. Additional benefits include biocide protection against mould and bacteria, rapid curing, wet-on-wet application—even underwater—resistance to salt water, UV, and weather, non-corrosive properties on metals, vibration absorption, food safety certification, and very low emissions.
Key Points:
– High-modulus, permanently flexible sealant and adhesive with superior bonding strength.
– Biocide-protected, overpaintable, non-shrinking, non-cracking, and bubble-free.
– Safe and eco-friendly: solvent-free, silicone-free, phthalate-free, food-safe, and low-emission (EC1 Plus).
– Resistant to UV, weather, salt water, and mechanical vibrations; rapid curing and suitable for wet-on-wet or underwater applications.
STORAGE & SHELF LIFE
Store in a cool, dry place at temperatures between +5 °C and +25 °C, away from frost and direct sunlight. When kept in the original, unopened containers, coloured products have a minimum shelf life of 18 months, while clear products have a minimum shelf life of 12 months from the date of manufacture.

GBX SEALANT & ADHESIVE USES
– Suitable for sealing and bonding interior and exterior surfaces in all weather conditions.
– Adheres to most construction materials, including brick, concrete, stone, glass, plasterboard, PU, PVC, hard plastics, enamel, ceramic, metals (aluminium, copper, lead, zinc, stainless steel, alloys), HPL, cement fibre panels, wood, paint systems, carbon fibre, fibreglass, and GRP.
– Ideal for humid areas like bathrooms and kitchens to prevent mould caused by bacteria.
– Fills and seals connecting joints, cracks, holes, and other gaps in buildings.
– Bonds metal-to-metal, absorbs vibration, and resists etching or burning due to metal expansion/contraction.
– Suitable for underwater and marine applications, resistant to seawater; ideal as a pool sealant for floor and wall tiles.
– Roofing applications, including fixing solar panels, gutters, and downpipes.
– Outdoor repairs on garden furniture, planters, ornaments, slates, and cracked concrete.
– Can be used as a mirror adhesive without damaging mirror backings.
– Acts as an anti-pick sealant (Shore A hardness 54) to prevent vandalism or debonding, suitable for correctional facilities.
SURFACE PREPARATION
Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from grease, oil, or any contaminants that may affect adhesion. The recommended application temperature range is +5 °C to +40 °C. Priming is generally not required for most non-porous substrates, but adhesion should always be tested on a small area before full application to ensure material compatibility.
APPLICATION / INSTRUCTIONS
Carefully cut the top of the cartridge without damaging the threaded area. Attach the supplied nozzle and cut at a 45° angle. Apply using a standard sealant gun.
As an adhesive: Apply in beads or strips spaced approximately 10–20 cm apart. Bond the surfaces together and allow to cure. For mirrors thicker than 6 mm, larger than 1 m², or installed on sloping walls or ceilings, mechanical fixings are required.
As a sealant: Apply a continuous bead along the joint or aperture and leave to fully cure. Smooth the joint using a soapy solution and the Bond It Sealant Applicator Tool. Remove excess material and clean tools with Bond It White Spirit or Multi-Wipes before curing. Cured adhesive must be removed mechanically. Replace the plastic cap after use to prevent nozzle curing.
COVERAGE
Coverage depends on substrate condition and porosity. Approximately 10 linear metres can be achieved per cartridge using a 6 mm bead.
PAINTING
Paint compatibility should always be tested prior to use. Water-based or two-component paints are recommended; synthetic paints may dry more slowly. For overpainting, lightly sand the sealant and adjoining surfaces. For optimal results, wait a few days after application before painting.
CLEANING & DISPOSAL
Clean tools with Bond It White Spirit or Multi-Wipes before the sealant cures. Dispose of any remaining contents and packaging at a designated central disposal point in accordance with local regulations.
LIMITATIONS
– May yellow if allowed to cure in dark or poorly lit conditions.
– Not recommended for use with expansion joints.
– Not suitable for aquariums.
– Not suitable for LSE plastics such as PE, PP, and PTFE.
– May stain marble and other stone surfaces; use a sealer beforehand to prevent staining.
– Not suitable for bedding double-glazed units (use LN7 silicone instead).
– Do not apply on surfaces that bleed oils or plasticisers.
